The carpet cleaning method we have perfected as being the greenest is as follows.

 

1.Your carpet is thoroughly vacuumed using a commmercial grade vac with high quality filters.

2.The carpet is sprayed with a food grade phosphate which has excellent cleaning properties.

3.The carpet and pre-spray is agitated using a commercial dry cleaning machine, this loosens the dirt and other contaminants which may be trapped  deep down into the pile.

4.Carpet is extracted using plain water, this removes loosened soil , pollen and other allergens leaving a clean , fresh and residue free carpet.

5. The carpet is allowed to dry naturally which should take on average a couple of hours to be useable .

 

This method has other advantages over traditional methods,  as the clean water rinse ensures your carpet will not resoil quickly .

There is no such a thing as chemical free carpet cleaning but the above approach leaves the lowest residual chemicals and those are as harmless as you can get.
